Rev/Dr Michael Caparrelli

Special Service at New Life Sunday, September 15, 10AM

Rev/Dr Michael Caparrelli

Biography for Rev/Dr. Michael Caparrelli:

Dr. Michael Caparrelli was born and bred in Providence, Rhode Island, a troubled kid who squandered his adolescence in institutions. At the age of 17 years old, he was incarcerated at a juvenile detention center for a string of robberies. During that time, his life was transformed by the power of Jesus Christ, and he was mentored by Pasco Manzo, the President of New England and New Jersey Teen Challenge.

In 2004, he graduated from Zion Bible College with a Bachelors in Biblical Theology. He served for several years as an associate pastor of an Assembly of God while working on his Master's Degree from Liberty University. In 2008, he graduated from Liberty University with a Masters in Education.

From 2009-2019, he founded and pastored Sacred Exchange Fellowship, a church outside of Providence. The church served as a hospital for the sick, growing from 15 people in a storefront to 300 people with its own property - 4.5 acres of land and a sizable building. His pastoring experiences included working alongside people in recovery from addictions, inmates and the mentally ill. Dr. Caparrelli has had the joy of watching God transform the worst offenders into devoted followers of Christ.

In 2021, he finished his 128-credit PhD program in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior from the school of Behavioral Science at Capella University. His doctoral dissertation is entitled, "The Impact of Involvement With the Evangelical Church upon the RecoveryJourney of People with Chemical Addictions - A Qualitative Study". That same year, he resigned to travel with a ministry known as UnMuted - a ministry that gives victims of oppression their voices back.

Currently, he is a keynote speaker in churches, prisons, schools & other venues across the U.S. on subjects such as depression, addiction, grief, early childhood trauma, etc.

He authored five books that help the broken overcome - Surviving Feelings, Dr. Jesus, The Ox and the Ass, Pen Your Pain Into Parables and Monster Mirror. His books have been adapted into the curriculum of several Adult & Teen Challenge Centers as well as the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. He is a professor of 6 psychology courses - General Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Social Psychology, Introduction to Counseling, Theories of Addiction counseling, Abnormal Psychology and Human Growth and Development. He teaches at Northpoint Christian College and Manchester Community College.

Dr. Caparrelli recently conducted a 100 hour, 34 session, analysis of David Berkowitz, formerly known as the son of Sam. The study sheds light on the mental health factors and demonic activity behind violence as well as Berkowitz's miraculous conversion since 1988. The book, Monster Mirror, ranked #1 on Amazon in True Crime New Releases throughout October 2023. He has appeared on the 700 Club, Dr Carolyn Leaf's Podcast and Dr Daniel Amen's show.

Directors: Jessie and Hilary Comrie, sharing God’s Word on this special date!

Jesssi and Hilary Comrie Bio: Although raised in a Christian family, Jesse ran away from the Lord at a young age. He fell quickly into a life of drug abuse, drug dealing, and other criminal activity. At just 20 years old, Jesse was arrested for armed robbery. By the grace of God, he received a light sentence, but his life still did not change. Through a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit during his third time in prison, Jesse finally surrendered to the love of his Father. His life was forever changed. Since that day, he has given his entire life to telling anyone who will listen about the love of Jesus and the saving power of His cross.

Less than a year after salvation, Jesse enrolled in Northpoint Bible College, Haverhill, where he met Hilary. The two fell in love during weekly street evangelism outings, where they often partnered together to reach the lost. Their relationship started with, and continues to be built upon, a deep love for God and a passion to bring Him to the world. During Bible school, God called Jessie and Hilary to leave everything and move to Germany. They lived in Germany for five years, where they led many people to the Lord and planted a church in the town of Boppard. In late 2016, they began sensing an expanded call from God. In 2017, they prayerfully made the decision to move back to America, at the invitation of the Board of Global Renewal, to transition into the leadership of the organization. They are now maintaining a very active travel schedule, holding evangelistic crusades, revival meetings leadership conferences, raising up young leaders, planting churches all over the world, and rescuing girls from human trafficking.

And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’”

Psalm 133

"How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil  that was poured over Aaron’s head,
that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.
Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon  that falls on the mountains of Zion.

And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting."
