Dear NLC!
Greetings in the wonderful and powerful Name of All Names...JESUS! We write to you today to wish each of you a most Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. It is true that we must be thankful always, but there's something so very special about this season in America which has been set aside to give thanks to the ONE that has blessed us so abundantly. We join millions of people in doing so, especially those within the living Body of Christ, as we narrow down our thanks to the one true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Scripture is replete with admonitions to give thanks to Almighty God, too many to mention, but a few quickly come to mind:
2 Chronicles 5:13 "The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words: 'He is good! His faithful love endures forever!' At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord."
Psalm 9:1 "I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done."
Psalm 28:7 "The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving."
Colossians 3:15 "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."
Colossians 3:16-17 "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father."
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus"
Hebrews 12:28-29 "Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire."
As you gather around your table this Thanksgivng Day, perhaps the Lord will tap on your shoulder and nudge you to be the one that will in some significant way, bring the conversation around to Him...His goodness, His grace, His provision, His sovereignty. Let Him use you to bring Him to the forefront.
We send our love and thanks to God...for you. YOU are a special part of the Body of Christ here in New England, and we embrace you and pray God's best over you and your loved ones. We are very grateful that you are a part of the Body of Christ here at NLC.
Have a great day...and be thankful!
WithThankful Hearts,
Pastor Rick and Pamela
"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever."
Psalm 136:1
“There’s always this nagging feeling for roots, for connection. It’s inborn I believe. I go back to my childhood memories, to people and to places. And, it’s all good. Yet, it goes deeper, “what could have been” or “what could have been better, or different?” Glad to feel a peace that all my longings for connectedness and roots are satisfied through my relationship with Jesus Christ. Actually, these feelings are a longing for things that will only be realized once I’m on “the other side.” Life here is a shadow of what will come. In the meantime I am so thankful for my life experiences w many family members; friends, old and new; and such diverse places where I’ve lived. God is good; grateful He loves me and keeps me! “

Dear NLC,
Greetings in Jesus' Name! In case you haven't heard, or have not been affected, Haverhill has been hit very hard by the recent winter storm, named "Quinn." Co-incidentally, this is Pamela's maiden name! In any case, our area has no power. As such, Thursdays' meetings and services were canceled, as will be Saturdays' Mens Breakfast and Worship Team rehearsal. We are awaiting word as to the progress of repairing the damage before determining what to do about Sunday, although we are leaning on opening the church regardless. We will keep you notified via email and Facebook.
If there are any needs that we can possible help with, please do let us know. Personally, the parsonage and rental property next door (Amendola's and Johnson's) have limited electricity via generators. This seems to be working ok, as we utilize them intermittently, conserving the gas. If anyone is in desperate conditions, please contact us. Although we also are limited in resources, we may be able to help in some way.
One thing is for sure, we still have the Power of the Holy Spirit!! Please stay strong in spirit during this time. Now is the time to trust Jesus and to be a light of hope to our families, friends and neighbors. Please do pray for our community...for all resources to be restored, but more importantly, for hearts to turn to Jesus.
God bless you! Right now we figured out how to use our "hotspot" on the iphone to connect the laptop to the internet. Seems to be working!
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10
Stay tuned!!
All For Jesus,
Pastor Rick and Pamela
PS. Heat and power are currently off at the church and office. Please contact us via email, Facebook, or cell numbers 978-879-3933 or 781-570-1933.

Hi NLC!
Last Sunday was a real special day in the House of the Lord. So appreciative of all that made the effort to be there, and to pursue the Lord during worship, during prayer, and during the preaching of the Word.
I wanted to take a moment to share a few thoughts with you that were not included in the outline presented on the screen on Sunday. I will conclude with the final three points of the sermon,
What The Precious Blood of Jesus Does For Us Today.
First... Many classic hymns proclaim the great truths of the Blood of Jesus:
There Is Power In The Blood, Nothing But The Blood, Are You Washed In The Blood, There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood, The Blood Shall never Loose It's Power, The OId Rugged Cross, At The Cross. (do you know them??)
Second...What the Bible tells us about the Blood of Jesus:
~Matthew 27:4... it is innocent
~1 John 1:7... it is cleansing
~Revelation 12:11... it is conquering
~1 Peter 1:19...it is precious!
Third...The Bible tells us the Blood of Jesus is the basis for:
~our reconciliation with God...Ephesians 2:13
~our redemption...Romans 3:24
~our justification...Romans 5:9
~our sanctification...Hebrews 10:29
~our communion with the Lord...Matthew 26:26-29
~our victory...Revelation 12:11
~our eternal life..John 6:53
These are wonderful scriptures that will most definitely minister to your spirit as you ponder and meditate upon them. Let them become food for your soul!!
What The Precious Blood of Jesus Does For Us Today..the three major points of the sermon:
1. The Blood of Jesus Empowers Us!
Empowers us to defeat Satan!
~Revelation 12:11a "And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..."
~Romans 6:6 "our old man was crucified with Him (Jesus) that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin"
2. The Blood of Jesus Purges Us!
Purges us from sin, guilt, and the "old man"
~Hebrews 11:14 "how much more shall the Blood of Jesus Christ..cleanse (purge) your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
~1 Corinthians 6:11 (paraphrase) "You...who were lost and entrenched in sin and despair; you...who were sexually deviant and ungodly; you...who were drunkards, revilers, extortioners, etc...were washed, were sanctified, were justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus (by His blood!) and by the Spirit of our God"
~1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the Light as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
3. The Blood of Jesus Frees Us!
Freed, bought, and delivered, to be who we are supposed to be in Christ!
~Acts 20:28 (re the church of God) "...which He purchased with His own blood"
~Romans 5:8 "while still sinners, Christ died for us"
~John 3:16-17 "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever would believe in would not perish but would have everlasting life. For the Son of God did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved."
~1 Timothy/Mark 10:45 Jesus is "a ransom" for us
Precious Blood
Isaiah 53:12b "And He was numbered with the trangressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
Enjoy your power, your purging and cleansing, and your freedom found only as you walk with Jesus! He most assuredly has good things in store for you. Looking forward to a great month as we run after the Lord. Come to church ready to bless Him, bless someone else, and receive a special touch from the Holy Spirit. Remember, Sunday morning services begin on Saturday night, as we prepare our hearts for the first day of the week!
See YOU then!
All For Jesus,
Pastor Rick
"Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God." 1 Peter 1:18-19 The Message

Dear NLC,
Greetings to you all on this beautiful New England Christmas Evening! What a wonderful Christmas Eve Service we had last night! Thank you to all that came, and to all that participated to make this years' service so extra special. And, what a wonderful snowy white Christmas we had this morning! God is good, and God is speaking to us today in so many wonderful ways. I believe He was speaking to us this morning...
Isaiah 1:8 tells us, "'Come now, let's settle this,' says the Lord. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.'"Such a depth of truth, especially in light of the Christmas Story. Each of us are so very guilty of "sins like scarlet." We are in such drastic need of a real and serious Savior. In His birth, Jesus proclaims a way for mankind to be at peace with God. This morning's snowfall reminds us of just how clean and pure we have been made through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Thank you, "Immanuel-God with us!" Matthew 1:23
Psalm 51:7 tells us, "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow." If Jesus was never born, there would have been no sacrifice available that would have fulfilled the need of our redemption. He alone owns the power, the authority, the ability to "purify" and "wash" us from our sins and our sinful nature. But in obedience, and sacrificially, He came just as the prophets said He would! And His atoning work, some thirty-three years after His birth, is certainly enough to make us "whiter than snow!" As I walked across the churchyard this morning, making fresh tracks in the newly fallen snow, I was reminded that with Jesus, "all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 Ours sins are covered over by His precious blood. Amen!
Revelation 1:14 tells us, "His head and His hair were white like wool, as white as snow. His eyes were like flames of fire." Wow! That sweet little baby in the manger in Bethlehem grew up, strong and steady, and became a Man, a Man without sin, that He might become sin for us, and crucify that sin on the Cross! 2 Corinthians 2:21. Yes, that sweet baby boy fulfilled His mission to offer Himself as an acceptable ransom for our sins. Mark 10:45, 1 Timothy 2:5-6. God then, "raised Him from the grave" Acts 2:24,32 and now He sits in victory "at the right hand of God" Mark 16:19. And He will come again to judge "both the living and the dead" 2 Timothy 4:1. Can you imagine? This Christ Child, now in all His glory, settling all accounts? Restoring Divine order? Exercising His right as Judge of the world?? Acts 10:42. Yes, even this truth is displayed in the beauty and ferocity of a snowstorm! "His head, His hair, His eyes...as white as snow, like flames of fire!"
Oh, Merry, Merry Christmas to one and all! May the deep reality of the event settle upon our hearts and souls this day and season as never, ever before! How we need a Holy Spirit reminder of the spiritual and eternal implications of Jesus' Birth, Life, Death, Resurrection, Ascension, and soon Coming Again!
Philippians 2:6-11
"Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him
to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name
above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth
and under the earth,
and every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."
May the Lord bless you, your loved ones, and family members during this special time. Please know that you are loved by a wonderful, caring, omnipotent Lord who constantly has you on His mind. You are also loved by your Pastor, Pastor's wife, and Pastor's family so very, very much. Behind Jesus, you remain our greatest joy and our greatest reward! 1 Thessolonians 2:19
Merry Christmas!
All For Jesus
In His Love,
Pastor Rick and Pamela
