Greetings  New Life!

Who ever would have thought we would be in the predicament we are in? Only Jesus! He knew, and He knows what is going on. It would truly be in our best interest to stay extra close to Him during this unprecedented time. How are you New Life? Were you able to catch the services on Live Stream on Sunday?

We'd like to take a moment to thank so many of our members and adherents that are staying in touch with us. The Live Stream seems to be working pretty well, although I personally am still getting used to it. It's little odd preaching to an empty church! So many pastors are feeling the same way. We know however that the Lord is using this venue to reach out, get connected, and touch souls with His Word. For all the times we were critical of the whole online/social media craze, we can see now that the Lord is certainly using it for His purposes. I believe the Lord has got this whole thing in His hands and He is working good out of it.

A pastor friend recently posted how the Coronavirus Pandemic has literally torn down America's and the world's penchant to idolize and worship celebrities, sports stars, the entertainment industry, and all pleasure seeking activities. Not that all of that is bad on every level, but when you think about it, so much money, time, energy, creativity has been spent on these activities at the expense of not applying that money, time, energy and creativity to the Lord and His Church and Mission. It is staggering but we can see before our eyes that He is tearing down the idols of our present day culture.

Thank you to those that have been giving your tithes and offerings online via our website, sending them through snail mail, or dropping them off here at the office. Thank you for all that are praying, not only for New Life but for this entire situation. Both the Church and the world need our prayers now more than ever. Our missionaries need our prayers, and our local ministries here in Haverhill that are still operating serving the poor, the homeless and the needy need our prayers. The elderly and the infirmed need our prayers. Our neighbors and loved ones need our prayers. And we need to make sure we pray for one another. As Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "pray without ceasing", this is certainly the time to be consistently praying and staying in the attitude and position of prayer each and every day. This will keep us close to the Lord and in tune to what He is expecting from His church during this time.

Our next Live Stream will be Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm. We are planning to study Romans 4 as we continue through this book. Last Wednesday so many people tuned in, I mean all the way from Florida, New York, Virginia, Washing State, and Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It was quite incredible!

See you on Live Stream!

"But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble."
